Having seen the site go from concept to reality, it does not surprise me that AOL would want to acquire this company and its team so early after its public launch late last week.
Congratulations to AOL for recognizing one of the new and upcoming stars of the internet. On a personal note, I have sat in the same office with Tony since January, and there is nothing quite so enjoyable than to see your friend, partner and Founding CEO succeed repeatedly in this early stage technology ecosystem that we occupy. I like it too. Question: How did your father influence your composing and songwriting?
Dan Fogelberg: Mostly by exposing me to many types of music Question: I have wanted to ask this question for over 20 years. In "Part of the Plan," you had to choose between two roads. For years, I have grappled with understanding the differences between simple acceptance of life and sweet peace. Which road did you take? Dan Fogelberg: First of all, that's "Nether Lands" Actually, the roads I had in mind were accepting life or committing suicide As to which I chose, you be the judge Question: Hi, Dan, thanks for your wonderful music.
I was wondering if you ever go into any of the web sites your fans have created? Question: The Christmas album is just wonderful. Mad at the cold weather. I better go feed 'em. Question: Do you realize that you are a sex symbol? If so, how do you feel about it?
Question: Mr. Fogelberg, which song do you consider to be the most inspirational song you have written? Question: What's next for you, Mr. Are you touring again? Question: Did you see the shooting star the night of your Kettering, Ohio outdoor concert?
It was magical. Thank you, Mr. Fogelberg, for your music. Dan Fogelberg: No, I must have missed it. Question: Dan, have you thought about doing a classical guitar or another bluegrass album in the near future? Dan Fogelberg: I am considering a guitar instrumental album at some time in the next century Question: Hello, Dan! Greetings from the East. And if so, who would that be?
That lyric especially written for her and the song belongs to her. Why did I write it? I guess I was asked. So that was kind of an angle that made me wanna do it. I find your lyrics quite captivating. Do you ever write poetry and if so have you considered publishing it. As a teenager I flirted with a whole bunch of things, including making a poetry book.
Again, I came to the conclusion that I was born singing, I should stick to that. The most terrifying stage of leaving the Sugarcubes was not the fact that I thought I was not musically capable, but more that I would get lonely. I could easily go on forever.
I love all of them. Guy found it in a truckstop and it became the tour anthem of last tour. Turned us on before the gigs. And the rest is history.
Chuffed is kind of a combination of grateful and flattered, and speechless. I already have. Later in life, I started doing records and I find it a very very different process. In a way very unnatural. And that kind of makes it a challenge.
